Penparcau Community Forum
We are a community based, community development organisation for the facilitation, planning and organisation of events and activities within and across the community of Penparcau. Our work is based upon the values and principles of community development detailed within the Community Development National Occupational Standards (CDNOS). We seek to raise the profile of the village, encourage community engagement, develop community cohesion, promote social inclusion and improve the facilities and amenities of Penparcau.
We have a whole range of events, one off as well as regular weekly and monthly events. You can find out more by looking at our events calendar, or also reading about our groups and projects. If you’d like to be involved, please just get in touch!
Our role as the identified partner in Ceredigion will consist of coordinating and facilitating activities for veterans and their dependants, provide mentoring assistance and signposting to specialist support where necessary, working closely with the Ceredigion Armed Forces Community Covenant partners to provide support and training opportunities for veterans and their families within Ceredigion.
We have jobs and volunteering roles available throughout the year, and welcome both new-comers to the Forum and those who have helped us before. During the summer months we’re particularly busy, and always welcome an extra pair of hands. We’re also part of the Time Banking scheme, so your volunteering hours are logged.
Penparcau Youth Forum
We are the younger generation’s voice within Penparcau, we are set up to facilitate improvements within the community and assist local organisations.
We meet on a Friday night between 6pm and 8pm.
