Together Our Community Matters

Launched in 2023 with support from the National Lottery Community Fund, Together Our Community Matters was created to provide safe, welcoming spaces where residents of all ages can connect, learn, and build skills. The project reduces isolation, strengthens social connections, and empowers the community through a wide range of activities and events.

Highlights include Easter egg hunts, Party in the Park, community feasts, Halloween discos, senior citizens’ friendship groups, children’s Christmas parties, and veterans’ breakfasts. Our age-inclusive activities program offers arts and crafts clubs, Lego and science workshops, sports classes, gardening sessions, and trips away—helping residents build confidence, make friends, and develop new skills.

With the National Lottery Community Fund’s support, we are able to create a truly inclusive hub that meets community needs, promotes well-being, and fosters volunteer engagement—ensuring the forum remains a thriving centre for connection and empowerment.
