Our Charity this year is Hope House, the children’s hospice, and we have been able to send them a cheque for £400.
Members of the group are always busy, making quilts for friends and family, but they always find time to support a good cause. Their kindness and generosity made it possible to donate 67 quilts for the charity Project Linus. Project Linus is a charity that gives quilts and blankets to babies and children who have been bereaved, been ill and had to go into hospital or gone into a refuge. The quilts varied from newborn baby size up to single bed size. Today Jenny and Janet, the co-ordinators for North Ceredigion Project Linus, visited to collect our quilts which they will be distributing in the Aberystwyth area. Now the quilters have some extra space in their sewing rooms they will be going home and starting new projects.
